ABUAD Industrial Research Park: Driving Innovation, Industry, and Education in Nigeria.

In his unwavering commitment to harmonise university education with industry, deliver quality and functional education, create employment opportunities, and drive Nigeria’s industrialisation, Aare Afe Babalola initiated the establishment of an Industrial Research Park designed to house 124 industries.

WHY IT WAS ESTABLISHED

  1. The University is established for quality and functional education.
  2. ABUAD Industrial Park is the brainchild of the founder.
  3. The Industrial Research Park is the University’s Affiliated Business Park focusing on research and development which can generate income for the University and the community.
  4. To harmonise  university education with research & industry.

  • Research Commercialization: Helping scientists translate ideas into products that benefit society.
  • Employment Creation: Generating job opportunities for students, alumni, and the community.

MANDATE OF THE FOUNDER

The founder’s mandate for the establishment of an Industrial Park is stated as follows:

  1. To establish an industrial park that is functional, self-sustaining that bridges University education with Industry.
  2. To Propel Nigeria and other African economies into the modern age through innovative industrialization.
  3. To promote investments in tech industries.
  4. To encourage university-industry linkages which will facilitate mutual research, student and staff training
  5. To foster entrepreneurship through incubation units for students and staff.
  6. To provide employment, vocational, and professional training opportunities to the immediate community.
  7. To serve as a platform for collaboration with industries, research institutes, and governmental organizations to drive  innovation & development.
Our Mission
ABUAD, an innovative university which is acknowledged by NUC as “a benchmark and reference point” and also ranked by Times Higher Education Impact Ranking as Number One (1) in two years consecutively has established ABUAD Industrial Park consisting of 121 units of industries purposely to crystalise a productive working union between Afe Babalola University (ABUAD) and ABUAD Industrial Research Park as well as other functioning industries in Nigeria and beyond.
